Our partnership with the World Economic Forum was forged around the shared understanding that urgent, collaborative action is needed to transform outcomes in lung cancer and to improve the sustainability of health systems.

Through this partnership, we are convening and driving multi-sector collaboration in pursuit of the broader target to deliver the promise of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3.4:

“By 2030, reduce by one third premature mortality from non-communicable diseases through prevention and treatment and promote mental health and well-being” – SDG Target 3.4

“Cancer accounts for around one third of all premature deaths from non-communicable diseases, and lung cancer is the biggest cause of cancer death globally. This partnership adds significant strength and voice to the ongoing efforts of the Lung Ambition Alliance to eliminate lung cancer as a cause of death.” – Mohit Manrao, Global Franchise Head, Lung Cancer, AstraZeneca

“The Lung Cancer Collaboration provides an important global platform that unites multistakeholder leaders in lung cancer in identifying and addressing the barriers that are preventing improved survivorship in this disease. ” – Kelly McCain, Head, Healthcare Initiatives, World Economic Forum
